Lena Lee Debord

Lena Lee DeBord, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at 4:35 AM on September 2, 2012. She was born June 18, 1920 in Hamilton, the daughter of Elijah and Laura (Boggs) Messer. On August 24, 1946, she married Charles DeBord in Hamilton. She was a longtime member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church in Liberty Township. She had a lovely smile and loved to sing. She was loved by all that knew her. She was cared for by some very dear friends, Donna Cecere, Yvonne Ziels, Vickie Brown, and Rita. A special thank you with love to those ladies especially her dear friend Donna. Lena will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Lena is survived by her son, Larry DeBord (Delia) and daughter Barbara (Jack) Binegar; brother Raymond Messer of Hamilton and sister Valora Jones of Seven Mile; grandchildren Doug, Rob, and Barbara Michelle; great grandchildren Sarah, George, Barbara Christine, Timothy, and Isabella.; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded by her parents, her husband Charles, two brothers Robert and Laurence Messer, and two sisters Mary Ann and Betty.
