Leona Jean Presley

April 27, 1928 — October 19, 2014

Leona Jean Presley, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Sunday, October 19, 2014. She was born in Hamilton on April 27, 1928 to Thomas and Stasha (Archibald) Morris. On August 17, 1946 she married Forest Milton Presley. Leona was a charter member of the Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene, where she served as pianist for many years. As a young girl, she played the accordion until a piano was purchased. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children Rosemary (Ray) Bower, and Larry (Pat) Presley; grandchildren, Ryan (Joy) Presley, and Carissa (Brad) Miracle; great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Kathryn, Adam, Emily, Natalie, Sophia, and Benjamyn; sister-in-law, Helen Webber; and a brother-in-law, Allen Presley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Milton Presley; father, Thomas Morris, mother and step-father, Stasha and Earl Pierson; and a great-grandson, Andrew Presley.

Funeral service will be held at Millville Ave. Church of the Nazarene, 308 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Todd Dixon and Rev. James Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene in her honor.
