Leota Bailey, age 96 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Thursday, January 31, 2013. She was born in Connersville, Indiana on June 8, 1916 to Urven and Ruth (Thucksen) Manley. On August 30, 1936 in Rushville, Indiana, she married Cecil Bailey and they were happily married for 55 years, before his passing in 1991.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Deborah (Greg) Cross; two grandsons, James Keller, and Jason (Christi) Keller; six great-grandchildren, Amber (Alex) Carr, Amanda Schultz, Trisha (Luke) Day, Kyla Keller, Emily Cross, and Mark Keller; 3 great-great grandchildren, Bailey, Ethan, and Jaymes; a brother, Phillip Manley; and a sister, Barbara Arthur. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Bailey; a daughter, Marjorie Keller; 3 brothers, Joseph, Paul, and Kenneth Manley; and 3 sisters, Wilma Krause, Mary Beard, and Maxine Schnitzus.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 12:30 - 2:30 at the funeral home.
