Leslie Kenneth Wiseman

If you spoke to Leslie for 5 minutes you would know that his birthday was the most important day of the year and was coming soon, no matter how far away it was. He would have been 72 years old on December 1st, 2023.  He was a lover of all things butterscotch and new babies.  Always awaiting the birth of each new life with great anticipation, thrilled to hear if it was a boy or a girl and what was it going to be named.  He always had a name picked out to suggest!

His time on this earth was filled with struggles and successes, difficulties and laughter.  He had a funny sense of humor, enjoyed a good joke and was possessed with an uncanny ability to read people and assess whether they were friendly and kind or not to be trusted.

Not until we enter eternity will any of us know how the prayers of this righteousness man have impacted each and every one of us and our lives.  He prayed relentlessly for his family “every one of them” and “all his people”, every single day, including Saturdays and Sundays!!

He was fortunate enough to find a lovely wife and life partner at the age of 36 when he married Peggy Louise Ivey.  They were married for 25 years and both resided at The Laurels in Hamilton, Ohio.

Leslie was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Louise Wiseman, his parents, Walter & Annabelle Wiseman, his step-daughter, Ruby Ivey, his brother-in-law Michael Stricker and his nephew Gabriel Martt.

He is survived by his sisters Linda Stricker and Janice Martt, brother-in-law Stuart Martt.  His step-daughter Margie (Daniel) Braunstein, stepson Paul Ivey, grandsons Stephen Ivey, Peyton and Carson Braunstein & Bram Thomas Ivey.  He is also survived by eight nieces & nephews, twenty-eight great nieces and nephews and many, many cousins.

A family memorial for Leslie will be held at a future date yet to be determined.  In lieu of flowers or gifts the family requests donations be made to The Galilean Children’s Home, 712 South Fork Church Road, Liberty, KY 42539
