Lester D. Coleman

Lester D. Coleman, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Lester was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 5, 1932, to Park Mills Coleman and Rilla Viola (Ziegler) Coleman. Lester was in the United States Army from 1956 – 1958. He was a self-employed farmer his whole life, he delivered water to families in the area for several years; and was also a custodian at Talawanda School District for many years. Lester was an active member of McGonigle Millville Methodist Church for over 90 years. He enjoyed animal husbandry, gardening, competing at the Butler County Fair, and was very supportive of local youth.

Lester is survived by his loving spouse, Bernice Coleman; his three children, Kenneth Coleman, Lawrence Coleman, and Norma Jean Coleman; one brother, Robert Z. Coleman; and beloved brother in laws, sister in laws, and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and friends. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Park Mills Coleman, Rilla Viola Coleman; one sister, Jaunita Wright; and many brother in laws and sister in laws.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McGonigle Millville Methodist Church 2370 Lanes Mill Rd, Hamilton, OH. Memorial service will follow at McGonigle Millville Methodist Church at 12:00 PM with Rev. Tom Hite officiating.  A reception will immediately follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to McGonigle Millville Methodist Church.
