Lewis M. Bayer

Lewis M. Bayer, age 84 of Fairfield passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 3:50 AM. He was born in Cincinnati on May 13, 1929 the son of Fred and Alma (Smith) Bayer. Lewis was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1948 to 1952, where he served in company "D" 934th Signal Battalion, and was employed in the plant department at Bell Telephone for 32 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of VFW #1069 and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Fairfield. In 1981 in Cincinnati, he married Jacquelyn "Jackie" Stuart, and she preceded him in death in 1994.

He is survived by a daughter, Debra Bayer and three grandchildren; Rachel Keller-Smith, Aaron Bayer, and Brian Bayer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
