Lila Wheeler

Lila Wheeler, age 82 of Trenton passed away in Huntington Court on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 5:27 PM. She was born in Cincinnati on December 31, 1925 the daughter of Shelven and Myrtle (Becker) Duggins. Lila was a member of the New Miami Church of Christ and was employed as a clerk for Wal-Mart for eleven years, retiring in 2002. On May 1, 1945 in Cincinnati she was married to Robert L. Wheeler, and he preceded her in death in 1976.

She is survived by one son, Robert (Jeanetta) Wheeler of Trenton; three grandchildren, Brian (Rhonda) Wheeler, Anissa (Kenneth) Obermeyer, and Heather (Duane) Byrd; and also five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Casey, Tanner, Justis, and Wesley; and also four nieces, Patty, Barbara, Sandy, and Shelly; and a number of other relatives and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James and Wally Duggins.

A memorial service will be held at the New Miami Church of Christ, 104 Highland Avenue, on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Randy Dodd, Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Miami Church of Christ.
