Lindzy G. Bowling Sr.

Lindzy G. Bowling Sr., age 53 of Bath, Indiana passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 1:24 AM. He was born in Hamilton on June 15,1956 the son of Gaston and Isabella (Scott) Bowling. Lindzy was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers #18. He attended Oxford Pentecostal Church. On January 19, 1975 in Hamilton, he married Cheryl Ann Mooney, and she preceded him in death in 2002.

He is survived by six children, Leah (Jerry) Alvey of Bath, Indiana, Lindzy G. (Elissa) Bowling Jr. of Muncie, Indiana, Natasha Lynn Bowling, Travis Taylor Bowling, both of Oxford, Kayla Phyllis Bowling, and Sara Isabella Bowling, both of Brookville, Indiana; his parents, Gaston and Isabella Bowling of Oxford; his devoted fiancée, Jan Letner of Eaton; eight grandchildren, Cameron, Dylan, Mackenna, Trevon, Will, Cheyenne, Michael and Paige; two brothers, George (Debbie) Bowling of Hamilton and Bradley Bowling of Atlanta, Georgia; and five sisters, Cheryl (Gary) Farmer, Kim Geisler, Vicki Hopkins, Lori (Rodney) Curran, all of Oxford, and Andrea (Phil) Bulach of Brookville, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held at Oxford Pentecostal Church, 3586 Oxford-Millville Road, on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Glenn Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
