Linnie B. Greer

Linnie B. Greer, age 69 of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord at Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 3:10 AM. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on April 27, 1938 the daughter of Floyd and Pauline (Lynch) Martin. Linnie was formerly employed for many years at Glen Meadows Nursing Home. She was a member of the East River Road Baptist Church for over fifty years. Two of Linnie’s greatest joys in life were bowling and her dog Sheba. In May 1955 she married Ronald Greer.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Greer of Hamilton; two daughters, JoAnne (Jeffrey) Marsch of Indian Springs, Alabama and Rhonda (Edsel) Bray of Hamilton; two brothers, Roy (Rosemary) Martin of Fairfield and Wendall (Nancy) Martin of Hamilton; four sisters, Jenevia Ruth of St. Mary’s, Ohio, Joyce (Dale) Schierholt of Hamilton, Katherine (Jeoff) Long of Lakeside, Kentucky and Charlotte (Gary) Wemer of Emmaus, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Bradley Bray, Patrick Marsch and Parker Marsch; one sister-in-law, Joyce Martin of St. Mary’s, Ohio and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lewis Martin; and one brother-in-law, Carl Ruth.

Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 7:00PM with Pastor Jim Williford officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:30PM until 7:00PM. Linnie’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses at Fort Hamilton Hospital and to the University of Cincinnati Hospital for all their loving care and support.
