Lloyd Douglas "Doug" Stivers

Lloyd Douglas "Doug" Stivers, age 56 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Doug was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 11, 1960. He retired from the Hamilton City Schools in 2008. Doug was a loving man who lived his life to the fullest. He was the best friend and love of his wife’s life, a caring father, adored grand-father, family man, lover of the outdoors, a friend to everyone he met and full of joy until his very last day. He was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed.

Doug is survived by his wife Helga Stivers, daughters Deatra (Mark) Pottebaum and Danielle Marlow, grandsons Carson and Chase Pottebaum and John Marlow and grand-daughter Gia Pottebaum . He is also survived by many loving family and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Harrison, his father Napoleon Stivers and step-father Dallas Harrison.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Adoption Foundation 2480 Millville Ross Rd. Hamilton, 45013.
