Lois Grubbs

Grubbs, Lois A. (nee Goble), age 78, of Hamilton passed away at home on April 26, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Hamilton on November 20, 1936 to the late Cletus and Ruth Goble. On June 20, 1958, she married Merle Grubbs. Lois was a loving wife, mother & caregiver to her daughter Toni. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton where she served as a Deaconess.

She is survived by her husband Merle, a son; Mike (Linda) Grubbs, daughters; Kim (Steve) Wolter, Teri (John) Stark, Amy (Lester) Jones and Beth (Randy) Payne; grandchildren Paden (Hannah) and Jake Grubbs, Emily, Alexandria and Anna Stark, Caleb and Hannah Jones and Allyson Payne; great grandson Chance Grubbs and her faithful companion Otis. She is also survived by brothers, Don (Liz), Gordy (Margaret), Harry (Susan), Henry (Edith) and Dale (Becky) Goble; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Grubbs and grandson, Isaac Stark.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on -Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Senior Minister Dan Clemons of First Baptist Church of Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank everyone at Oncology-Hematology Care, Inc. and Hospice of Cincinnati (especially nurse Karen) for their loving and compassionate care during her brief illness.
