Lois A. Hubbard

Lois A. Hubbard, age 81 of Franklin, passed away at her residence on Monday, September 19, 2016. Lois was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky on April 25, 1935 to Malachi Hopkins and Mae (Hampton) Hopkins. She also worked at Fort Hamilton Hospital for 9 years. Lois also played the piano for 27 years at the Highway of Holiness Church. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and attended church. On April 24, 1953 in Hamilton, she married Charles H. Hubbard, and he preceded her in death in 2010.

Lois is survived by one daughter, Rhonda (Steve) Price; seven grandchildren, Nate Doty, Erica (Taylor) Newkirk, Brenna DuBray, Leah DuBray, Adam (Heather) Benton, Christy (Adam) Meyer, and Rob Price; six great-grandchildren, MaKena, Audra, A.J., Kylah, Addison, Emma; three brothers, Donald Hopkins, James Hopkins, and David Lee Hopkins; five sisters, Shirley Williams, Charlene (Kenneth) Davenport, Wanda (Doug) Newton, Yvonne (Norman) Mize, and Carol (Ken) Grizzel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Wilma Smith and Linda Hopkins. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to those who assisted with her care during her illness.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:30AM with Rev. Darlene Bishop of Solid Rock Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the funeral home.
