Lois Ritzie

Lois Ritzie, age 75 of Fairfield, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 8:17 AM. She was born in Cincinnati on November 17, 1938 the daughter of Edward and Maisie Margaret (Kramer) Stein. Lois was a 1956 graduate of Hughes High School. After graduation she was employed at AT&T for ten years and then later as an aide for Fairfield City Schools for 18 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lois was very active in youth sports with her children. She volunteered her time with concessions and other organizational activities. Lois enjoyed her time at Elements, where she made many new friends, her monthly card club dinners, AT&T quarterly luncheons, and her annual trips to Siesta Key Beach, Florida. On July 11, 1964 at St. Anns Catholic Church she married Roger Ritzie.

She was a loving wife and mother who is survived by her husband, Roger Ritzie of Fairfield; three sons, Rodney (Michele) Ritzie of Liberty Township, Tim (Amy) Ritzie of Fairfield Township, and Michael (Jennifer) Ritzie of Fairfield Township; four grandchildren, Caroline, Ava, Isabelle, and Alex Ritzie; brother-in-law, Allen (Janet) Ritzie of Fairfield; two sisters-in-law, Linda (Marty) Murdock of Ross Township and Carol Stein of Liberty Township; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives,and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Edward Stein; and brother-in-law, Paul "Denny" Newkirk.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Road, on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM with Father Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Cincinnati.
