Lona Mildred Harrison

Lona Mildred Harrison, age 81 of Hamilton passed away Fort Hamilton Hospital on May 11, 2009 at 1:25 PM. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on May 5, 1928 the daughter of John and Stella (Young) Abrams. Mildred was employed as a supervisor for Tex-Style for 24 years, retiring in 1990. On March 20, 1949 in Richmond, Kentucky she married Henry Neeley and he preceded her in death in 1955 and on August 26, 1969 in Newport, Kentucky she married Edwin Harrison and he preceded her in death in 2004.

She is survived by one son, Raymond (Linda) Neeley of Richmond, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Constance (Robert) Newcomb of Ross and Diane Hubbard of Hamilton; three brothers, Cassus (Lutricia) Johnson and Darrell (Patricia) Johnson, both of Hamilton, and Burgess "Bud" (Ruth) Abrams of Fairfield; two sisters, Nell Jo Neiman and Barbara Merrill, both of Hamilton; devoted niece, Robin Johnson-Huckins and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Abrams and Stella Johnson, and two brothers, Leo Abrams and John Abrams, Jr.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
