Lona L. Turner

Lona L. Turner, age 67 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 7:57 AM. She was born in Hamilton on September 21, 1941 the daughter of Oakley and Marie (Lester) Hensley. Lona retired from customer service department at CVS PharmaCare. She was a member of Full Gospel Church. On July 16, 1968 in Covington, Kentucky she married Gary Turner.

Beloved wife of Gary Turner; Loving mother of Karen (Kurt) Schwitalski and Bryan Turner; Dear sister of Esther Jackson, Ola Faye (Darell) Begley, and Ethel (Richard) Bowling; Step Mother of Gary Wayne Turner and Lisa Turner; Devoted Grandmother of nine grandchildren, Kendra (Brian) Seiter, Joshua, Jeremy, and Kyle Sawyer, Kaleb and Kelsey Schwitalski, Josh and Kelsey Turner, and Danny Wayne Halcomb; Caring Great-Grandmother of two great-grandchildren, Malakai and Josilyn; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Harold Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
