Loran Dale Harmon

Loran Dale Harmon, age 77 of St. Clair Township passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 1:24 PM. He was born in West Union, Ohio on July 16, 1933 the son of Clarence and Mabel (Grooms) Harmon. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1956. He was employed as a truck driver at Overpeck Trucking Company. Dale was a life member of the VFW Post #7670 and enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons. He truly loved his family, and especially adored his grandchildren. On July 6, 1957 in West Union he married Betty Cadwallader.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Harmon of St. Clair Township; two sons, Jim (Lynn) Harmon and Bob Harmon, both of St. Clair Township; his stepmother, Mary Harmon of West Union; three grandchildren, J.D., Tyler, and Abby; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a half-sister, Sherry Harmon; and a brother, Jim Harmon.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Neil Gabbard, Pastor of Christ Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The family extends a special thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and concern.
