Loretta R. Buchanan Lusk

Loretta R. Buchanan Lusk, age 71 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 11:58 AM. She was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on October 25, 1936 the daughter of Charles B. and Fannie Jane (Gambrel) Moore. Loretta was a member of Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene. Loretta was preceded in death in 2004 by her childhood sweetheart and husband of many years, Gillus Buchanan. On March 23, 2007 in Hamilton she married Glenn Lusk.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Lusk of Hamilton; five daughters, Mona (Daryl) Peck of Indiana, Renea (Rick) Lucas of Tennessee, Jackie (Bonnie Dean) Callahan, Barb Buchanan, and Veronica (John) Lewis, all of Hamilton; nine stepchildren; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Kevin) Plew, Brandon Hampton, Sadie (Kelly) Engle, Ryan Hampton, and Casey Lewis; and six great-grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah, Kendall, Seth, Kennedy, and Skyler. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; and a grandson, Zachary Lewis.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Ted Herold of Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitations will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Loretta’s family extends a special thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati and to her church family for all their loving care and support.
