Lori Lin Johnson

Lori Lin Johnson, age 53 of Hamilton, passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living in Springdale on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Lori was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 15, 1971. She graduated from Hamilton High School and Miami University. Lori was a driven entrepreneur, starting her own wholesale car business, Automax, in the early 1990’s. She went on to open a second location in 2001. After many successful years in the auto industry, Lori pursued her real passion by becoming a travel agent. She opened Chasing Waves Travel in 2015. In this time, she was able to travel the world, having fallen in love with the Mediterranean, especially Italy and Greece. She also loved the Caribbeans, particularly Aruba for its beaches and sun. Lori will be remembered for being a free spirit that traveled the world and the only thing that rivaled her love for travel was the love that she had for her family and friends. Lori will be dearly missed by her daughter, Bethany (Kyla) Johnson; her two grandchildren and their father, Kevin Durbin; her mother, Frances Johnson-Crowe; her father, Gary Smith; her brother, Jeff (Beverly) Johnson; her aunt, Linda Sickafuse; as well as many extended family members and friends. Lori was preceded in death by her dad, Hugh “Demo” Johnson; her brother, Chester Johnson; and her aunt, Saundra “Jeannie” Turner. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM until the time of her Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
