Lorraine White

Lorraine White, age 77 of Hamilton went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with her daughter and family by her side on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 7:50 PM at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Indiana. She was born in London, Kentucky on November 9, 1930 the daughter of Joseph and Ora (Harris) Collier. Lorraine was employed as a tailor for V & V Tailors in Cincinnati for eighteen years. She was a member of Washington OES #195 and North Fairfield Baptist Church, where she was a church sanctuary choir member. In 1967 in Hamilton, she married Billie White, and he preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by a daughter, Vicki (Benny) Brummett of Marion, Indiana; four stepsons, Michael R. (Sandra L.) White, Gary L. White, both of Hamilton, William D. (Tammy) White of Russell Springs, Kentucky, and Timothy C. (Janet) White of North Carolina; a brother, Tommy (Vickie) Wilson of Holton, Indiana; a sister, Ora (Don) Selmeyer of Dillsboro, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Collier and Ora Barrows; a son, Gary Kidd; a daughter, Sharon Williams; a grandson, Michael Williams; and two brothers, Larry and Charles Collier.

Funeral service will be held at the North Fairfield Baptist Church, 6853 Gilmore Road, on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
