Louella Burns

Louella Burns, age 88 of Hamilton passed away at Hawthorn Glenn Nursing Center on Wed. April 18, 2012 at 4:19AM. She was born on March 28, 1924 in Scipio, Indiana, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Patterson) Funk. Louella was a dietician for Heltons Nursing Home for 25 years, and retired in 1980. In 1943, she was married to Jodie Burns in Hamilton and he preceded her in death in 1996.

She is survived; five daughters, Linda Whitaker of Chesapeake, VA, Barbara Price of Hamilton, Dianna (Robert) Brehm of Brookville, IN, Joan Campbell of West Union, OH, and Jane Fitzwater of Hamilton; 27 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons John and James Burns; 4 grandchildren, Rodney Campbell, Michael Campbell, Zacharey Durchholtz, and Thomas F. Southard.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home 330 Pershing Ave. on Monday April 23, 2012 at 1PM with Rev. Rick Witt of Faith Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday April 22, 2012 from 5-8PM.
