Louis "Damon" Howard

Louis “Damon” Howard, age 46 of Hamilton, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Monday, August 24, 2026. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 12, 1979 the son of Louis E. and Deborah (Barkley) Howard. Damon was employed as a certified mechanic for Rose Automotive for numerous years. He was very passionate about his antique cars, hot rods, low riders, and enjoyed auto racing.

Damon is survived by two daughters, Ashley (Daniel Turner) Howard and Shelby Lou Howard; his mother and stepfather, Deborah and Larry Southard; one sister, Erica (Michael) Dille; three special nephews, Landen, Liam, and Luke Dille; his dog and best friend, Brutus; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, the mother of his two daughters, Kara Coomer; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Eric Howard; grandparents, Juanita Riley, Oscar Barkley, Joyce Maggard, and Louis C. Howard; aunt, Marla Cupp; and uncle, Joe Howard.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Sonny Hurd and Rev. Terry Unthank officiating. Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to his aunt, Angie Garland and his cousin, Roxanna McQueen.
