Lowell Roark

Lowell E. Roark, age 80 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, March 14, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on April 29, 1934 to Nathan and Dena (Baker) Roark. On September 15, 1978 he married Ruth Ross. Lowell was employed at CG & E for over twenty years. He also served as a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Fairfield Township for over 25 years. He attended St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church for many years.

He is survived by his wife Ruth, his children Dan (Carolyn), Sheila, Doug, Melissa (Tony) and Scott (Stephanie); Step children Penny (Ron), Missy and Scott; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one brother Gene Roark and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. He also leaves behind special family friends Rick Blanton and Claudia Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Donna and Sandy, one brother Dale and a sister in law Dorothy.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 12 Noon with Brother Golden Brock officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 10- 12 Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Hamilton.
