Lucile P. Sauer

Lucile P. Sauer, age 101 of Millville passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 6:40 AM. She was born in Colerain Township on August 13, 1908 the daughter of Ira and Ollie (Hardin) Pottenger. Lucile was a member of McGonigle-Millville United Methodist Church. On June 2, 1937 in Liberty, Indiana she married George A. Sauer, and he preceded her in death in 1977.

She is survived by a daughter, Luella (Domenico) Di Ceglie of Hamilton; a brother, Mark Pottenger of Kettering; a sister, Evelyn Klenk of Mt. Healthy; six grandchildren, Kenneth (Rebecca) Meyers, Brenda (Victor) Johnson, both of Millville, and Angelo, Carlo, Ricardo, and Maria Di Ceglie; three great-grandchildren, Bradley Johnson, Kevin Meyers, and Evelyn Gregory; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Dorothy Lee, Ruth Wheeler, LaVerne Tharp, and Glyde Wilcox.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
