Lucille Proffitt, age 84 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, November 16, 2015. She was born in Laurel County, KY on June 15, 1931 to Benjamin and Cora (Bowling) Johnson. She was a member of Fellowship Christian Center.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruthetta Downey, Marcella (Victor) Loomis, Marina Sweet, Melinda (Ted) Hayes, Tonya (Chris) Barnes, and Tresa (Mark) Randall, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jarvie Proffitt, sons, Michael Proffitt and Wendell Proffitt, and her parents.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11AM with Rev. Paul Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton.
