Lucy M. Davidson

Lucy M. Davidson, age 86 of Fairfield passed away at her residence on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 6:07 AM. She was born in Berea, Kentucky on May 19, 1924 the daughter of James and Lillie (Powell) Barrett. Lucy was employed as a payroll auditor at Fisher Body for five years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church and Seniors Taking Action. On September 20, 1943 in Newport, Kentucky she married Charles Davidson, and he preceded her in death in 1984.

She is survived by her loving companion, John Stanzak of Fairfield; a daughter, Mary Louise Oliver of Fairfield; and three sisters, Beatrice Lewis of Seven Mile, Helen Clark of Hamilton, and Myrtle Powell of Berea, Kentucky; three sisters-in-law, Johanna, Barbara, and Peggy Barrett; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Reo, David, Clarence, James Jr., and Raymond Barrett; and a sister, Opal Barrett.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jerry Powell of Berea Kentucky officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you the nurses with Evercare Hospice for all their loving care and support.
