Luella V. Sunberg, age 90 passed away at Westover Retirement Community, Hamilton, on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 6:00 PM. She was born in Cincinnati on January 14, 1919 the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Burger) Kistner. Luella was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. On June 24, 1939 she married Ed L. Sunberg and he preceded her in death in 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene (Bob) Vereker of Oxford; two sons, Edward (Barbara) Sunberg of Camden and Richard Sunberg of Oxford; three grandchildren, Laura (Doug) Turner of Cincinnati, Janet (Tom) Winter of Somerville, and Dan (Della) Sunberg of Hamilton; and four great-grandchildren, Eric, Danielle, John, and David. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Louis Kistner; and a sister, Rita Gallagher.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Timothy Bunch, celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
