Lula Mildred Williams

Lula Mildred Williams, age 85 of Hamilton passed away at West Chester Medical Center on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 3:15 PM. She was born in Viper, Kentucky on September 5, 1925 the daughter of Frank and Corbie (Brashear) Crutcher. Lula was a member of the Cherry Valley United Baptist Church. On August 3, 1963 in Clintwood, Virginia she was married to Lester Williams and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Nenia Bowling of Lockland; three sons, Gregory (Barbara) Williams of Hamilton, Vernon (Lesha) Williams of Hamilton, and Roger (Stephanie) Williams of Gratis; two brothers, Eugene Crutcher and Larry (Gip) Crutcher , both of Hazard, Kentucky; a sister, Irene Webb of Louisville, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Rick Sawtell of Tacoma, Washington; and a daughter-in-law, Paula Williams of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; a son, Scottie Williams; a daughter, Brenda Sawtell; a son-in-law, Marvin Bowling; two brothers, Courtney Crutcher and Hershel Crutcher; three sisters-in-law, Nerva Crutcher , Mable Crutcher and Vic Crutcher; two brothers-in-law, Bob Webb and Fred Whitaker; and a sister, Josiphine Whitaker.

Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Arthur McFarland of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of South Lebanon officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
