Luther Lee Daniels

Luther Lee Daniels, age 89, of Hamilton Ohio passed away on April 21, 2011, while in the care of Hospice of Cincinnati at Heartland of Woodridge in Fairfield, Ohio. The family extends special thanks to the wonderful nurses & aids at Heartland of Woodridge for the love and care that they gave our Dad every day. Also, special thanks to Kris Burch and the outstanding team at Hospice of Cincinnati for the wonderful care of our father until his passing. Luther was born on March 11, 1922 in Barbourville, Ky., the son of Henry and Hazel (Mays) Daniels. On May 16, 1944 in Covington, Ky. Luther married Mary Martha Gabbard. He was a member of Hamilton Church of God, he was a true Christian Family Man. He loved fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. Luther owned and operated a successful Paint and Body Shop for his entire career. His family thought he was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Daniels; his children, Barbara Hooker and her husband Howard, Mike Daniels and his wife Sharon, Thad Daniels and his wife Ruth, Jason Daniels and his wife Sandy, Kathy Kirby and her husband Mike, and Laura Wichern and her husband Mark; also many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Daniels; two sisters, Jewel Dooley and Stella Krempasky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Henry Daniels and a brother, Herman Daniels.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013 on Wednesday at 11 AM with Pastor Alan Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM till time of service at 11 AM. Luther’s family request the presence of all his family and friends immediately following the service to join them at Hamilton Church of God, 1760 Millville Ave, for a remembrance and fellowship luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati.
