Lydia J. Day

Lydia J. Day, age 71 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 9:40 PM. She was born in Estill County, Kentucky on February 26, 1936 the daughter of James and Sarilda (McKinney) Canter. Lydia retired from Wright Bernet, Inc. She was a member of Kenworth Avenue Pentecostal Church. She is survived by a son, Samuel Day; a daughter, Naomi (Larry) Taylor, both of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Shawana Lewis, Melissa Bryson, Joseph Day, Joshua Taylor, and Casaundra Taylor; and four great-grandchildren, Drew Cope, Christian Bryson, Julia Taylor, and Ava Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Lowery of Highway of Holiness Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
