Lyle E. Robertson

Lyle E. Robertson, age 86 of Fairfield passed away at Tri-County Extended Care on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He was born in Wisemantown, Kentucky on April 5, 1926 the son of Berry Irvine and Ova (Oglesby) Robertson. Lyle served with the 42nd Infantry Rainbow Division during World War II and was a prisoner of war. He was employed as a processor at Hamilton Tool Company. Lyle was a member of Retirees of Hamilton Tool Company, and a member and deacon at Hamilton Primitive Baptist Church. On July 14, 1945 in Hamilton he married Pearl Willis.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Robertson; his son, Dale (Jo Malicote) Robertson, a daughter, Deborah (David) Sumser; sons, Timothy (Sheryl) Robertson, and Kelvin (Lisa) Robertson; two brothers, Dennis (Dorthea) Robertson and Paul Robertson; a brother-in-law, Scottie Winkler; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Robertson and Freda St. Laurent; nine grandchildren, Hayley Robertson, Amy Robertson, Shane (Cassidy) Robertson, Jennifer (Marcus) McCullum, Joshua (Pam) Robertson, Sierra Robertson, Collin Robertson, Annie (Kevin) Klenk, and Samantha Combs; and 18 great-grandchildren, Corey Pierce, Caleb Valandingham, Samantha Schaefer, Karley Schul, Cameron Combs, Shane Robertson, Owen Robertson, Ayano Robertson, Jennifer Robertson, William Robertson, Sasha Robertson, Enya McCullum, David McCullum, Lily Robertson, Dylan Robertson, Kyle Robertson, William "Zeke" Klenk, and Kellen Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Delmar Robertson, Delbert Robertson, Regenia (Eddy) Seale, Bernice Winkler, Bonnie (Ernest) Couch, and Donald Robertson; sisters-in-law Ann Robertson and Doris Robertson; and great-grandchildren Layla Barker and Eli Shepherd.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Elder Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hamilton Primitive Baptist Church, in care of the Robertson’s, 4684 Redwood Dr. Hamilton, OH 45014. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his doctors, Hospice of Cincinnati, and Tri-County Extended Care for their care and compassion, and to Eaton Road Church of God for their assistance during this time of weather emergencies.
