Lynita R. Jones

Lynita R. (nee Nease) Jones, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2018 surrounded by her loving children. She was born in Hamilton Oh on April 29, 1939 to Walter and Evelyn (Pierce) Nease. Lynita retired from Miami University after 20 years of service in dietary and housing; where she was known and loved by many of the students. She was a life-long member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Lynita enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, bowling and dancing. Lynita had a big heart, loved people and never met a stranger.

Lynita is survived by her children, Cheryl (David) Farmer, Belinda Grammel, David Jones, Dorothy (Nick) Iori, and Mike Jones; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jason, and Justin Farmer, Jessica Stephens, Robert Jones, Tyler Grammel, Valerie and Ashley Jones; her 11 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Lynita was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Walter Nease Jr. and Joanne Gentry; and her granddaughter, Tiffani Grammel.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held immediately following with Rev. James Dick officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
