Madeleine Vonderhaar

Madeleine Vonderhaar, age 84 of Wayne Township passed away in her residence on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 9:45 AM. She was born in Cincinnati on August 16, 1923 the daughter of Albert and Anna (Walsh) Crone. Madeleine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oxford and Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hamilton. On August 26, 1950 in Harrison, she was married to Carl Vonderhaar.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Vonderhaar of Wayne Township; one son, Stephen (Karen) Vonderhaar of Hamilton; one daughter, Carol (Robert) Bryce of Pearland, Texas; two brothers, Paul Crone and Thomas Crone, both of Harrison; three grandchildren, Amy (Conan) Crum of Austin, Texas, Matthew and Michelle Vonderhaar of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Crone; and two sisters, Elizabeth Hopperton and Mary Catherine Cassidy.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Jeff Bacon and Fr. Gene Vonderhaar, Celebrants. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Oxford. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
