Mae Adkins

Mae Adkins, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton on December 16, 1931 to Oscar and Rose (Sheperd) Carmack. Mae spent many joyful years working in the cafeteria for the City of Hamilton School system.

She is survived by her children, Carol L. Ferrant, Paul E. (Donna) Adkins, Jr, Daniel (Marti) Adkins and Mark B. (Vicki Short) Adkins; grandchildren, Wendy (James) Ferris, Chris Adkins, Michelle (Michael) Young, Erin Adkins, Mandy Adkins, Molly Adkins and Carri Short; great grandchildren, Alisha Jackson, Heather Jackson, Jennafer Jackson, Matthew Young, Marissa Young, Sarah Young, Grace Young, Siena Kerns and Alaina Kerns. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul E. Adkins, Sr; daughter, Pamela Rose Johnson; granddaughter, Tina Short; and 5 siblings.

Visitation will be 5-7pm, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Avenue. Funeral service will be 11am, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 also at the funeral home on Millville Avenue. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
