Mae Harris

Mae Harris, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 3:25 PM. She was born in Leslie Co., KY on February 9, 1922 to Henry and Abby (Shell) Maggard. She was a member of the Highway of Holiness Church. She loved spreading the Gospel, loved to quilt, and feeding those in need, and not in need. Mae was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Jones, Phyllis Taylor, Lonnie Harris, Doug Harris, and Shirley Hulett; one daughter-in-law, Wanda Harris; 52 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other realitives and friends. She was preceded in death by two spouses, John LeCroy and John Harris; two sons, Charlie Harris and Eugene LeCroy; her parents; grandchildren, Barbara Money and Lonnie Jones; great-grandchildren, Kenny Neal, and James Brown; one sister, Ruby Gibson; and several brothers.

Funeral service will be held at The Pentecostal Highway of Holiness Church, 3470 Hamilton Middletown Rd, on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 1PM with Pastor Jerry Pascarella and Pastor L.L. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 12Noon-1PM at the church.
