Magaleen Smith

Magaleen Smith, age 85 of Lake Wales, Florida, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011 at The Groves Center in Lake Wales, Florida. She was born on March 24, 1925 in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Phil and Alice Collins. Magaleen was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by three daughters, Princess (Roy) Stewart of Ohio, Alpha Smith of Camden, and Bessie Ann (Lonnie) Lamb of Hamilton; two sons, Coby Ray (Pamela) Smith of Courtland, Ohio and Henry Jay (Sally) Smith of Lake Wales, Florida; two sisters, Elsie Smith and Myrtle Smith, both of Hamilton; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Smith, in 2002.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:30 AM with Magaleen’s son, Henry Jay Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
