Mahala Colwell

Mahala Colwell, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at Glen Meadows Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 3:10PM. She was born in Gays Creek, KY on January 23, 1923 to Samuel and America (May) Morris. Mahala was employed at Republican Press for 11 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church. On October 30, 1946 in Jeffersonville, OH, she married Curtis Colwell, who preceded her in death in 2010.

She is survived by one son Darrell Colwell; one daughter in law, Pam Colwell; two grandchildren, Tonja Colwell, and Barbara (Hugh) Tinker; three great-grandchildren, Regan, Riley, and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son David Colwell; two brothers Nacy Morris and Sam Morris; and two sisters, Mae Herold and Cora Stone.

Funeral service will be held at Faith Pentecostal Church, on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1PM with Rev. Rick Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 11AM until time of service at 1PM at the church.
