Marcella A. Hogan

Marcella A. Hogan, age 92 of Fairfield passed away at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 10:06 PM. She was born in Hamilton on October 23, 1915 the daughter of Christian and Catherine (Bracke) Reidinger. Marcella was employed as a cook at Fairfield Central for twenty years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. On June 10, 1936 in Hamilton, she married Charles E. Hogan, and he preceded her in death in 1971.

She is survived by three sons, William (Joan) Hogan of Wichita, Kansas, David (Karen) Hogan of Cincinnati, and Gerald (Yvonne) Hogan of Westerville, Ohio; a daughter, Marilyn Seither of Fairfield; fifteen grandchildren, Pat (Greg), Bill (Kim), Brian (Paula), Kevin (Amy), Michael, Brendan (Ashley), Chris (Lauren), Craig, Jeff, Doug (Jody), Doug, Greg, Katie, Todd (Karla), and Jason (Jeanine); and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul Reidinger; and two sisters, Catherine Asher and Lucille Collopy.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Road, on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mercy Franciscan at Schroder Angel Care Fund or to Sacred Heart Church.
