Margaret Lucille George

Margaret Lucille George, age 82 of Hamilton passed away at Huntington Court on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 4:25 AM. She was born in Oxford on August 4, 1925 the daughter of William Carl and Anna Leota (Fitzgerald) Conklin. Margaret was employed in the packaging department at Avon for more than 12 years, retiring in 1985. She was a former member of North Seventh Street Church of Christ. On May 1, 1945 in Liberty, Indiana she married Roy Lee George.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Lee George of Hamilton; three sons, Ron (Debbie) George of Fairfield, Terry (Grace) George of Fairfield, and Steve George of Mt. Healthy; one daughter, Joyce (Jerry) Combs of Fairfield; two brothers, James Conklin of Oxford and William "Buck" Conklin of Honolulu, Hawaii; nine grandchildren, Tonya, Dennis, Kevin, Kesha, Danielle, Cody, Kayla, Jerry Lee, and Diana; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bill Conklin; and three sisters, Betty Dunham, Catherine Fagley, and Freda Ashcraft.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Pastor David Hargrave of Fairfield Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
