Margaret Lewis

Margaret Lewis, age 88 of Liberty Township, passed away at home on Saturday, March 14, 2015. She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on November 3, 1926. On March 15, 1949 in Harlan County, Kentucky she married James Herbert Lewis. Margaret was a member of the Millville Avenue Church of God for the past 60 years. She is a retiree of Hamilton City Schools, where she worked as a cafeteria manager.

She is survived by three daughters; Ida Mae (Alex) Allen of Hamilton, Phyllis (Bill) Isaacs of Liberty Township, and Sue (Rocky) Alt of Westerville, OH; six grandchildren, Jim (Kathie) Bundy, Angie (Randy) Goins, Tina (Rob) Inhoff, Traci (David) Bleedorn, Billy Isaacs, and Brian (Donna) Alt; 14 great grandchildren, Brandy Burden, Holly Bundy, Lanna Hoffman, Jennifer Blackwill, Zachary Therrien, William Osborne, Nikki Goins, Tanner Bleedorn, Taylor Bleedorn, Logan Alt, Lauren Alt, Landon Alt, Lindsey Alt, and Leland Alt; 7 great-great grandchildren, Trinity and Serenity Burden, Caroline and Rosalie Blackwill, Tessa Mae Hoffman, Kaiden Lunsford, and Madison Blackwill; she is also survived by her loving brothers and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Lewis on May 23, 2007; two brothers; two sisters; and a great granddaughter, Lexis Ashley Alt.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Senior Pastor Joe Clark of Millville Avenue Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Hospice of Cincinnati for their loving and compassionate care of Margaret during her illness.
