Margaret H. "Peggy" Whitaker

Margaret H. "Peggy" Whitaker, age 79 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 5:20 AM. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 1, 1930 the daughter of William and Ethel (Ramsey) Robertson. Peggy was employed as a teacher’s aide at Hamilton Christian School. She was a member of Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church. On July 17, 1999 in Hamilton, she married Thomas F. Whitaker.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Whitaker of Hamilton; three sons, Charles Edward (Pamela) Bowen of Huntington, West Virginia, Thomas F. (Melonie) Whitaker Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee, and James D. (Mary Beth) Whitaker of Trenton; a daughter, Debra L. (William) Nantz of New Palestine, Indiana; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Mary Jane) Robertson of Williamsburg, Virginia; a brother-in-law, Andrew Ennis of Hamilton; a niece, Katherine (Gary) Castner of West Chester; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dennis Riddick, Pastor of Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
