Margie J. Lester

Margie J. Lester, age 81 of Fairfield passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 9:51 AM. She was born in Hamilton on September 8, 1928 the daughter of Luther and Bessie (Phillips) Hurst. On December 17, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana she married Jack A. Lester.

She is survived by her husband, Jack A. Lester of Fairfield; a son, Jack E. Lester of Homosassa, Florida; three brothers, Lonnie (Pat) Hurst of Somerset, Kentucky, Herman (Diane) Hurst of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, and Herbert Hurst of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; three sisters, Anna Mae Richardson of Somerset, Kentucky, Geneva (Silas) Pengelton of Sand Gap, Kentucky, and Maggie Hoover of Sarasota, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sherman Hurst; and a sister, Dorothy Hurst.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mike Callihan of Living Word Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
