Marilyn Sue Rogers

Marilyn Sue Rogers, age 73 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 3:15 PM. She was born in Hamilton on June 4, 1939 the daughter of William and Nannie (Hammond) Gordon. Marilyn was employed in the housekeeping department at Tri County Extended Care for 25 years, retiring in 2006. On October 20 1956 in Liberty, Indiana she married Lawrence Rogers and he preceded her in death in 2001.

She is survived by six children, Randy (Debbie) Rogers of Corbin, Kentucky, Bobby (Judi) Rogers, Timmy (Jennis) Rogers, Lori (Darrell) Rogers, Jamie (Bonita) Rogers, and Tony Rogers, all of Hamilton; one sister, Geneva Hyde of Hamilton; 27 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ted and Terry Rogers; and a grandson, Little Randy.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Glenn Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
