Marilyn L. Schroer

March 2, 1928 — November 9, 2012

Marilyn L. Schroer, age 84 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday November 9, 2012, at Berkely Square. She was born in Hamilton on March 2, 1928. The daughter of Joseph and Lillian (Wiseman) Schroer. Marilyn was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Hamilton, class of 1946. She went to work at Fisher Body in 1951 as an executive secretary and retired in 1987. She was the family care giver, had a wonderful sense of humor, was an avid bowler, and loved dogs, especially dachshunds. She was proud that Hamilton was her hometown. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sisters, Lois (Larry) Berger of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Barb (David) Corcoran of Chicago, Illinois, also survived by nieces and nephews; Joseph Schroer III, Paula Schroer, Connie Levy, Larry Berger, Danny Cahalane, Ted Cahalane, Dennis Cahalane, Barbara Sheyer, Bill Sheyer, and Christina Geisen, Tom Corcoran, and Andy Corcoran; and special friends Carmella Nichting and Nancy Nichting. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Joseph Schroer Jr., two sisters; Jean Ann Sheyer, and Carol Cahalane, and niece Sherry Berger-Ganley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church on Tuesday November 13, 2012 at 10:30AM with Father Michael Pucke celebrant. Visitation will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00AM. Entombment will be held at the St. Stephens Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the nurses at Berkely Square for their wonderful care of Marilyn. Memorials may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, 701 East Columbia Ave. Cincinnati, OH, 45215.
