Marilyn Jane Urban

Marilyn Jane Urban, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away at her residence, surrounded by family and friends, on Monday, May 22, 2017. She was born in Dayton on January 1, 1938 the daughter of Forrest and Anna Belle (Kimbrell) Koeller. On June 14, 1958 she married Charles "Mick" Urban.

She is survived by Charles Urban; four children, Sally Weisman, Daphne (Marty) Monterosso, Jennifer (Mike) Binegar, and Michael Urban; two siblings, Carol (Ron) Crysel and Charles (Shirley) Koeller; three grandchildren, Patrick Urban, Andrew Weisman, and Jonathan Lee; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Rothfuss.

She graduated from Miami University and taught at New Miami Elementary School until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed playing Bridge and spending time with family and friends. Her kindness and humor will live on with all who knew her. All of her children were her favorite.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Lee Ault of Seven Mile Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
