Marjorie A. Bufler

Marjorie A. Bufler, age 81 of Hamilton passed away at her residence with her family present on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 5:15 AM. She was born in Hamilton on September 28, 1928 the daughter of Andronicus and Emma (Tipton) Durbin. Marjorie was a 1946 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She was employed for the Atomic Energy Commission from 1952-1953 and as a file specialist at Ohio Casualty for 30 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. On February 3, 1951 in Hamilton she married Dale E. Bufler.

She is survived by her husband, Dale E. Bufler of Hamilton, four children, Victoria Lynn (John) Wolpert of Hanover Township, Thomas Joe (Tracy) Bufler of Darrtown, Marcia Ann (Matt) Kornau of Liberty Township, and Jeffrey Todd Bufler of Hamilton; three brothers, Merle Durbin of Harrison, Ohio, Pat (Carole) Durbin of Hanover Township, and Andy Durbin of Fairfield; four sisters, Kathleen Brinkman of Fairfield, Jean Kiwala of Parma, Ohio, Carolyn (Phil) Ohlinger of Seven Mile, and Delina Mistler of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Jared and Justin Wolpert, Trevor and Travis Bufler, Jill, Sam, and Chloe Kornau, and Morgan and Madison Bufler; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Michael, Thomas, and Richard Durbin; and two sisters, Dorothy Durbin and Rose Minor.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Father Jeffrey Bacon, Celebrant. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Cremation will follow and private interment will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Harry Davin and staff for many years of dedicated professional care and to Hospice of Cincinnati for the comfort care in the final hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, American Cancer Society, Queen of Peace Church, or the charities of one’s choice.
