Marjorie Pauline Messer

March 31, 1922 — December 5, 2009

Marjorie Pauline Messer, age 87, of Ross Twp., passed away at Butler Co. Care Facility on Saturday, December 5, 2009. She was born in Hamilton on March 31, 1922 the daughter of John and Laura (Bicknell) Miller. Marjorie was a homemaker who was devoted to her husband and son. She was a member of East River Road Baptist Church. In 1949 in Kentucky she married Lawrence Messer who passed away on February 25, 2008.

She is survived by two brothers-in-law, Robert Myers and Raymond Messer; two sisters-in-law, Lena DeBord and Valora Jones; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Samuel L. Messer in 1965; a sister, Thelma Myers, and her step-father George Viox.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Friday, Dec. 11th at 1:30 PM with Rev. Tim Smith of East River Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon till 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Mission, 430 S 4th St., Hamilton, Ohio 45011 or Vitas Hospice, 11500 Northlake Dr., Suite 400, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249. Marjorie’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff of Butler Co. Care Facility for their care of Marjorie the past few years, and to the staff of Vitas Hospice for their care and concern.
