Mark D. Crouch Sr.

Mark D. Crouch Sr., age 76 of Hamilton passed away at Glen Meadows on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 11:07 AM. He was born in Hamilton on December 31, 1935 the son of Frank and Dorothy (Grabel) Crouch. Mark was employed at Hamilton Eaton Manor as a truck driver, chef, and bartender. He was in the catering business for many years, not only providing for his family but feeding many neighborhood children and never turning anyone away from the family table. Mark also worked at Ohio Taxi, driving a cab for over 30 years and retiring in 2010. He married Earlene Profitt and raised her kids as his own, also taking care of Earlene until she preceded him in death in 1998.

He is survived by six children, Pam (Steve) Smith, John Harris, Kay (Elmer Sr.) Bishop, Michael (Deborah) Harris, Diana (Ken Sr.) Ivey, and Mark (Patty) Crouch Jr.; two brothers, Jack (Helen) Crouch and David (Loretta) Crouch; two sisters, Betty (Stanley) Sizemore and Martha (Kenny) Halcomb; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones, all of whom will sadly miss Mark. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Debbie Hambrick and David Wayne Osher; three brothers, Paul, Jim, and Little Freddie Crouch; a sister, Mary Bowling; a grandson, Elmer Bishop Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Penny Harris.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Scott Miller of Timberhill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The family extends a special thank you to Glen Meadows and Hospice of Southwest Ohio for their care of Mark in his hour of need.
