Mark W. Moore, age 68 of New Miami passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 1:15 PM. He was born in Hamilton on May 15, 1945 the son of Joseph D. Sr. and Mildred I. (Wysong) Moore. Mark was employed at AK Steel 31 years, retiring in 1992. He attended the Hamilton Church of God. Mark was appointed a Kentucky Colonel and loved sports, especially playing golf, and was a member of the New Miami Football Hall of Fame. His family and grandchildren were his life. On August 15, 1964 in New Miami, he married Patricia Black.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Moore of New Miami; two daughters, Cheryl (Doug) New of New Miami and Marla (Dave) Mangus of Cape Coral, Florida; two brothers, Darrel (Karen) Moore of Trenton and Mark’s twin Clark (Connie) Moore of New Miami; a sister, Gail Moore of New Miami; six grandchildren, Brittany (Mark) Ondrovich, Emily (Jovan) Settle, Morgan New, Tori New, Mackenzie New, and Greg Mangus; four great-grandchildren, Jayden, Remmie, Peyton, and Maxx; his mother-in-law, Mae Black; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends; and his best friend, "Lil" Abner. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph D. Jr. and Keith Moore; and a sister, Beverly Moore.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Vernon Hartman of Hamilton Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Hamilton for all their care and support.
