Marshall R. Taylor, age 86 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 5:00 PM. He was born in Miamitown, Ohio on December 20, 1923 the son of Everett and Bessie (Dean) Taylor. Marshall was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was employed as a welder and assembler at Mosler Safe Company for 40 years, retiring in 1986. Marshall was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. On July 2, 1947 in Taylors Creek, Ohio he married Phyllis Cady.
He is survived by his wife, Phyliis Taylor of Hamilton; three children, Linda Taylor of Hamilton, William (Susan) Taylor of Harrison, and John (Gloria) Taylor of Ozark, Alabama; and three grandchildren, Kaitlin Taylor, Steven Taylor, and Kevin Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lewis Taylor; and two sisters, Eleanor Schueler and Marcella Telger.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Catholic Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Jeffrey Bacon, Celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hanover Township Life Squad.
