Martha Lee Combs

Martha Lee Combs, age 93, of Wilton Manors, Florida, formally of Hamilton and Mason, Ohio, passed away at her residence on Sunday February 7, 2010. She was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky on January 7, 1917 the daughter of Ewing and Gertrude (Whalen) King. She retired from housekeeping at Mercy Hospital Hamilton. In September 1941 she married Hayden Combs who preceded her in death on January 7, 1978. Martha was very devoted to her family.

She is survived by her son, Harry L. Combs of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Steven B. King of Lexington, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Bonnie Combs; and a sister, Christine Wright.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Saturday February 13th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Joseph Wright, Martha’s nephew officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday 12 noon to 1:00 PM.
